Your Chance to Make a Difference. 7:00 pm at the Commonwealth Pool. SIMBS elections, draw prizes, awards, featured speakers, refreshments. Hiking Accident Claims SIMBS Trail Builder Gordon Clay
I am sorry to announce that SIMBS member and trail builder, Gordon Clay has died in a hiking accident in Goldstream Park. Gordon was a strong and vibrant member of SIMBS and in particular, the Trail Maintenance Team, where he commited hundreds of hours every year into designing, building and maintaining the trails we are fortunate to ride on. Gord's most recent contribution is the new trail called Mind Bender. The board of directors of SIMBS wish to express our heartfelt condolences to Gordon's family and friends.

TECHNICAL TRAINING AREA APPROVED !
Hoorah ! CRD Parks has approved the construction of a stunt / trials / practice area at Hartland (We call it the TTA). When it will be built depends on YOU. Check out the drawings, read how it will be built, and details for getting involved.

BIG CHANGES ON SIMBS BOARD COMING
Five or six of the 10 board positions will be opening up next year. Next elections will see replacements for President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and possibly 2 board members out of a total of 10. Have a look at why, read the job descriptions and consider running so your vision of what SIMBS should be doing can happen.

GENE WEY PARALYSED IN TRAGIC ACCIDENT
Oct 12, 2000, Gene had a catastrophic fall in Hartland and has been paralysed from the chest down. On a "seemingly easy" drop, disaster struck.
