First-Aid Services for Mountain Bikers
As the spring mountain bike activity increases, St. John Ambulance is planning to commence
first aid services at the Hartland Mountain Bike Park by the middle of February.
Every year the Victoria Division of St. John Ambulance provides first aid service to over three
hundred public events including sports competitions, community fairs, live concerts and other
cultural activities. They are proud to offer their services to the South Island Mountain Bike
Society at the Hartland Mountain Bike Park.
Their members work on a volunteer basis and enjoy the opportunity to offer their skills in
patient care. You are invited to use their services, "free of charge" and be assured the
finest treatment for those scrapes bruises and other emergency needs.
Members of St. John Ambulance are involved with ongoing first aid training programs. Junior
members are always paired with their experienced volunteers in order to provide superior
treatment. St. John Ambulance also works as first aid responders and compliments other
municipal and provincial emergency services.
