Race for Life race at Victoria BMX info:
The Race for Life will be on Saturday July 6. Sign up will be 2PM to
3PM. All those interested should be there by 2PM.
The money raised will go to the Vancouver Island Cancer Centre here
in Victoria. The cost is $10/rider.
You will need padding on the top tube, stem and across the handle bars.
Pipe insulation from a local hardware store will be fine.
Long pants, long sleeve shirts and sturdy footwear.
NO sandals or open toes.
Full-face helmet is highly recommended.
I will arrange for a Mountain Bike class. I was also wondering if there
could be a show-down between bmxers and Mountain bikers. To make it fair
or at least more interesting, we will ride your bikes and you ride our
bmx bikes. Should be quite entertaining. This can be done in addition
to the mountain bike class.
The two pro jumps are 25' and then a 23'. We can put up a t-shirt also
to the top MTB rider on a bmx bike. Hope to see you there. If anyone has
any questions, call me (Peter MacInnis) at 474-7678 and I will be happy
to answer any questions. Track layout and directions to our track can
be found at http://www.victoriabmx.com.
Riders can also pre-register on our website. In the date just put the
6 July. Under sponsor put SIMBS. Put your name in the name block. The
rest may not apply to your riders, so just leave them blank. Hope to see
you at the races.
