19th Annual Bicycle Trek for Life & Breath

The BC Lung Association is holding its 19th annual Bicycle
Trek for Life & Breath on September 6 & 7, 2003. This event
attracts hundreds of cyclists from around British Columbia who participate
in a 2 day, 200 km ride and raise money for lung health programs.

Cyclothon Enthusiasts (Posted May 10, 2003)
Different cyclothons will be held during the summer to raise money
for a Canadian charitable organization, Canadian Food for the Hungry
International, an organization dedicated to aid and relief. You

Simbs Directors Hit the Road (Posted Aug 3rd, 2003)
The SIMBS Directors (or as many as could come) decided to hit the
road for some summer fun last weekend, heading up Island to see
what the Prez has been doing at Mt Washington. It was a splendid
weekend of riding that wouldn't have been possible without the tremendoues
hospitality of Mt Washington Resort (www.mtwashington.ca)

Old Fashion Summer Fun Down on the Farm (Posted Aug
3rd, 2003) 
Dirt Jump Demo by Mark Matthews and friends, farm and garden tour,
barbeque and corn boil, pony rides, ice cream wagon, country games
for all ages, tug of wars, blackberry picking contest and weigh-in,
judged special competitions, musical entertainment and field dance.
This is a promotional event for the North Saanich Dirt Jump

Summer Mountain Bike Camp (Posted July 9th, 2003)
The Boy's and Girls Club of Greater Victoria is hosting a mountain
bike camp in partnership with PacificSport. The camps are offered
in the downtown area for riders to improve their skills and meet
new riders while making friends.There may be a trip to the North
Shore in Mid August if there is enough interest.
Date: Starting July 15, for 8 sessions
Time: 9-11 am
Who: Ages 12-15
Cost: $90/person for the 8 sessions

Schwalbe Cycling Club presents "3-D Thursday Night Summer
XC racing series" (Posted May 14, 2003)
Race dates: June 5/12/19/26 and July
3/10/17/24
Registration at 6:00pm and racing at 630pm.
Race Fees: $10.00 for first race and $5.00 for remainder of races.
Racers must belong to a Cycling B.C. Club, and/or, hold a CBC racing
license.
Schwalbe CC memberships will be available at registration for $15.00.
Draw prizes and overall prizes.

SIMBS Ten Year Anniversary Celebration (Posted
May 20, 2003)
On June 7th and 8th, SIMBS cordially invites anyone who is hip to
the scene to attend our Ten Year Anniversary Celebration.
Saturday, June 7th at 7pm, come to
the Prospect Lake Hall on Spartan Road out Hartland
way. Ride your bike there, we have plenty of secure parking.
We’ll have local mountain bike movies playing for a couple
of hours, silly bike games going on, and beer on tap, courtesy of
THE LIGHTHOUSE BREWING COMPANY, race on down to
get some Race Rocks down! A Rockin Band will be shakin the house,
so make a presence, the evening promises to be stellar! (Sorry,
no minors)
