NIELD ROAD

Sadly, squeezed out by "development", Nield Road does not really exist for mountain biking anymore... here are some details on this formerly EXCELLENT riding destination. Who knows, there may even be some decent trails left....

Neild Road Featured:

  • Good cross-country / free riding trails
  • No long climbs and undulating terrain
  • Some great stunts
  • Excellent vistas
  • Confined area but lots of trails
  • Mostly single track
  • Trails multi-use (shared with hikers and trials motorcycles)
  • 30 minutes from Victoria
  • Parking on the street, No facilities

HOW TO GET THERE:

Map of Nield Road A detailed trail map is available for sale at many bike shops in the city. In the interests of rider safety, the same map has also been made available to local search and rescue crews.

Our thanks to the "Freak Brothers" for their work in making this map information available to SIMBS.
