Important Information on the use
of the free SIMBS Classifieds
This Classifieds page is a free service offered to you by SIMBS.
We offer this service to you with little or no moderation, in much
the same way as our Forum works. Therefore it is up to YOU the user
to be aware that there is the potential for misuse and or misrepresentation.
We advise all users of this service to use common sense when dealing
with sellers as well as buyers, and suggest you always use a trusted
go between when sending or receiving money (such as PayPal).
Warnings and common sense reminders:
- Do Not accept cheques/money orders for more than the asking price
of the item. Some buyers will send cheques/money orders for more
than asking price and ask the seller to send the excess amount
back along with the item. This is a potential scam.
- BEWARE if a buyer or seller happens to be away in a foreign country
or is living in a foreign country and asks to send the money there.
- Do NOT use an Escrow service as many are fake and this is a common
scam.
- Be aware that the use of Western Union or MoneyGram is also a common
scam.
- Do not give out personal information to a buyer or seller that
could potentially lead to fraud or to you losing your items or your
money, or worse.
