NEW MAP is finally here! Sample Map
The latest map of Mt Work - Hartland mountain bike trails is in bike stores in Victoria and Sidney. We printed it on waterproof paper so you won’t have a soggy wet ball of paper to decipher – you know it rains here right?
We have added directions to find your way there and some suggested loops for those of you who are new to the park. All the trails are mapped with numbered intersection points (concrete markers which are sitting at most of the trail intersections) so hopefully you can find your way back to the parking lot. Experienced riders like the map because they have a consistent reference for relating different rides, stories and features. One rider said, "Now I know where TWISTER goes to". This map is a work in progress so please record additions, corrections and recommendations for SIMBS so we can improve the map for the next version.
Call or email SIMBS to submit info for the next map. Mountain bikers now have a map that is popular, has proven very useful in getting more riders out on the trails, and has made biking in this area more enjoyable, accessible, and safe. If you are interested in seeing maps of other riding areas, call SIMBS. If we get enough support, we can start on doing them too!
INTRODUCTORY RIDES
We have fun rides every second Sunday, year round that cater to all skill and stamina levels. Ride with us and explore new trails and pick up new skills. We guarantee to get you back before one and noonish for the younger riders. It is a great way to get to know the trails and meet other riders. Our monthly rides are open to everyone - SIMBS member or not. Helmets a must! Rides will meet at the Hartland Ave parking lot at 9:30am. These rides are a lot of fun, and we all know it takes more to be merrier, so get off the couch and let's RIDE!!
