I've served on the SIMBS
Board of Directors since 1998. As Chairman of the Trails Committee, I oversee maintenance
and project planning in Hartland Mountain Bike Park.
Although it is a time consuming and sometimes stressful position, I find it very rewarding and
necesscary. So far we have finished about half of the projects for our 2000 1-year plan.
SIMBS must continue to demonstrate that we are able to maintain, design, and build quality trails
for mountain bikers in a CRD park if we hope to gain access to the other available areas in
our regional district.

THE "20 - 20 - 20 " RULE
The International Mountain Biking Association says: "20 hours of trail work, $20 to IMBA, and $20 to your local MTB organization."

SIMBS Board Meeting, first (non holiday) Tuesday each month 7:00 PM sharp, Victoria Police Station, 850 Caledonia Ave, everyone welcome.
Sunday November 8th.
Introductory Ride at Hartland, second Sunday each month 9:45am, Guided, separate beginner and advanced groups, all ages.

Women's ride at Hartland occurs on the second Sunday of each month at 9:45am. The rides are led by women for women of all ages and abilities. Carmel Ecker.
