The board consists of roughly 12 members. President, Vice President,
Secretary, Treasurer make up the executive, plus 8 or
so board members who take on individual challenges throughout
the year. |
| ALL MEMBERS |

- Attend 12 board meetings a year, plus the Annual General
Meeting.
- Bring items of importance to the attention of the board.
- Be on a special interest committee.
- Vote on the things that SIMBS does, and SIMBS policies.
- Promote SIMBS membership.

| PRESIDENT |

- Represent SIMBS to the community.
- Chair and prepare monthly agendas for board meetings.
- Keep an eye on the big picture.

| VICE PRESIDENT |

- Assist president in their role.
- Help in general administration of SIMBS.
- Draft letters.
|
| SECRETARY |
|
| |
- Conduct the correspondence of the Society.
- Issue notices of meetings of the Society and Directors.
- Keep minutes of all meetings of the Society and Directors.
- Have custody of records and documents except those required
to be kept by the Treasurer.
- Maintain the register of members.
- Keep track of important dates such as AGM, annual reports,
etc...

| TREASURER |

- Write cheques for any society expenses.
- Bill for any of society services (advertising, permits,
etc...).
- Keep the ledger of income and expenses.
- Collect SIMBS income from memberships and sales, make
bank deposits.
- Balance all accounts.
- Present monthly status report ( bank balance, accounts
receivable /payable ).
- Prepare and present the annual financial report.
- Keep advertising ledger.
- Collect mail from postal box.
- Issue Park Use Permits.
